BrickCal App Privacy

BrickCal is built as a local-first construction utility. This page explains what stays on your device, when a tool asks for access, and where stores, advertising, and purchase services process information outside the app.

Effective July 22, 2026

  • 01 On-device by default

Estimates, saved work, preferences, and ordinary app state stay local unless you export or share them.

  • 02 No Bobobox account

The current app has no Bobobox cloud account or automatic project sync.

  • 03 Permission by tool

Camera, photos, location, microphone, and notifications are requested only for a feature that needs them.

  • 04 Analytics off by default

Product analytics is disabled by default and the approved event boundary excludes raw job data.

01 · LOCAL DATA

Your calculations and project work stay local first.

BrickCal stores ordinary app state on your device, including estimates, saved calculations, project work, preferences, and settings. BrickCal does not currently require a Bobobox account and does not automatically upload project data to a Bobobox cloud service.

Manual backup, PDF, image, and share flows happen only when you start them. A manual backup is a local file that you choose where to save or send. Files exported from BrickCal are then controlled by the destination app, device storage, or service you selected.

Manual backup restores supported local sections from a validated snapshot. It is not automatic cloud sync and does not restore store-managed purchases or entitlements; those are restored through the applicable store and purchase service.

02 · PERMISSIONS

Access is tied to the tool you choose.

BrickCal should ask for sensitive access when you open or use a supported feature, not simply because the app launched. You can deny or later change these permissions in your device settings, although the related tool may stop working.

Camera
Used when you choose to capture a jobsite photo for a supported tool or report.
Photos
Used when you choose to select an image or save an exported result image.
Location
Used only while a supported on-site tool needs your current position.
Microphone
Used only while you run a supported sound or noise measurement tool.
Notifications
Requested when you opt in to the local weekly work recap reminder.

03 · ADS & PURCHASES

Advertising and purchases use third-party services.

BrickCal includes Google Mobile Ads/AdMob support. Advertising and consent services may process device or advertising identifiers, consent choices, approximate device and app information, ad interactions, and diagnostics as permitted by your platform settings and the provider's rules.

On iOS, BrickCal may show consent options and may request Apple App Tracking Transparency permission where required. Your choice controls whether tracking permission is available; advertising may still be served in a form allowed by that choice and local law.

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google and RevenueCat. These services may process product identifiers, purchase and restore status, entitlement state, provider customer identifiers, and related diagnostics. Bobobox does not receive your full payment card number from the app stores.

04 · ANALYTICS

Product analytics is disabled by default.

The current app does not send product analytics by default. Diagnostic information may still be created on your device or by platform, advertising, purchase, and hosting providers when they operate their services or investigate an error.

BrickCal's approved product-event boundary excludes raw estimate inputs, exact calculation results, client and project names, notes, addresses, filenames, file paths, and exact prices. It is limited to coarse events, approved event names, boolean states, enumerated outcomes, and short non-personal tokens.

Session replay, broad automatic screen capture, named Bobobox account identity, and person-profile analytics are not enabled in the current app. If BrickCal's analytics behavior materially changes, this policy will be updated before that change is described as current behavior.

05 · NOTIFICATIONS

The weekly recap is opt-in and scheduled on your device.

If you enable the work recap, BrickCal asks for notification permission and schedules a local weekly reminder. The current reminder is not sent from a Bobobox push-messaging service. You can turn it off in BrickCal settings or your device notification settings.

The reminder payload is designed to reopen the relevant BrickCal work surface rather than include private project, client, estimate, or address details in the notification.

06 · YOUR CHOICES

You control local data, permissions, consent, and exported files.

  • Change camera, photos, location, microphone, tracking, and notification access in device settings.
  • Use the in-app privacy options surface when the advertising consent provider requires one.
  • Disable the local work recap from BrickCal settings.
  • Delete saved work through available app controls or remove ordinary local app data by uninstalling BrickCal.
  • Delete manual backups, PDFs, images, and other exports from every destination where you saved or shared them.
  • Use the store restore flow to reconnect eligible purchases and entitlements.
Uninstalling BrickCal does not delete files you exported elsewhere, support emails, or records controlled by app stores, RevenueCat, advertising providers, or hosting services.

07 · SERVICES & RETENTION

Some information is handled outside BrickCal.

The current app can rely on Apple or Google store services, RevenueCat, Google Mobile Ads and consent services, and operating-system permission, photo, camera, location, microphone, notification, sharing, and file services. Their own privacy and retention rules apply to information they process.

Local app data remains until you delete it, replace it with a restored backup, or remove the app, subject to platform behavior. Purchase, advertising, consent, and diagnostic records may remain with their providers for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, service, or platform-compliance reasons.

If you email support, Bobobox receives your email address, message, attachments, and the device or app details you choose to include. The Bobobox website may also generate basic hosting logs such as IP address, browser or user-agent information, request time, and the requested URL so the site can be delivered and secured.

08 · CONTACT & CHANGES

Privacy questions go to one support address.

BrickCal is a general-audience construction utility and is not designed for children. Store, advertising, purchase, and hosting providers may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable safeguards.

Bobobox may update this policy when BrickCal's features, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.

For a privacy question, support-message review, or deletion request, email and describe what you want reviewed. Do not email passwords, full payment-card numbers, or store-account credentials.
